I am dating a new guy who hates smoking. I was a social smoker, have had less than twenty cigarettes since January. Have not smoked in a week, and then, only had four. He says he can still smell it on my breath. I read that it takes a pack a day smoker 7-14 days to get rid of the nicotine in the saliva, so would that be the same in my case? Is it possible for him to be that sensitive to it?
I have brushed with peroxide and baking soda twice a day, in addition to my regular toothpaste and mouthwash. I have also stopped alcohol, and cut down on coffee, and eating a ton of fresh fruits and veggies to detox faster. Not sure what else to do.

I don't think it is 7 to 14 days, nicotine is out of your blood in 24 hours.
Try having your teeth cleaned by the dentist. I presume all your clothes, coats, hats etc that you might have worn while smoking have all been washed? Cigarette smoke lingers in clothing and hair for ages.
Maybe he is imagining things, if he is so paranoid about smoking smells?
