How long should I do cardio exercise for general fitness ?

I am 43, in good health, no problems. Is 30 minute a session, five times a week enough?
 
It depends on you and only you. I prefer or told people to do things only than and and till than they enjoy doing them.
 
Yes it is is you're jut trying to stay healthy. If you want to build muscle and increase strength and speed you'll need at least 45 min 5 days a week and a weight training program.

If you want to avoid heart disease and keep your immune system functional, 30 minutes and a healthy diet is all you need.
