There is 1 fuel line that attaches to the petcock, 1 vacuum line that also attaches to the petcock and 1 space-kinda a little round bump on the bottom of the bowl with a screw directly on top of it that is the overflow on any carb body. Now by 87 most manufactors had stopped installing overflow tubes on the bottom of the bowls, but it is not totally uncommon to see them. There should not be anything coming out of that hose or knob at anytime, if there is you have a problem with the float valve or float valve assembly that is allowing too much fuel into the carb body.
