How many or you run SETI@home? I started a team named "Homo sapiens of Earth" and was wondering what people think about this project?

Honestly the chances don't seem very high that other beings in the universe are interested in us. I don't doubt there are different livable planets but the chances that there are human like beings that a) can travel to Earth super fast because space is very far apart and b) care about meeting other beings on other planets and have the ability.

It just doesn't seem very likely. If there was a way to contact other planets I'd for sure be interested but that seems a long way off.

I suppose we all wonder the existence of alien life (unless you've been there and done that)

I've never seen any, but it is a big universe.
It would be kinda conceited of me to think that we are the only ones.

SETI@home is awesome. I also do citizensky. I am hoping we find evidence of life on Enceladus, Titan, Europa or Mars in my lifetime, but I'm not holding my breath. The more I learn about Mars, the more it looks like a long shot. But maybe some extremeophile bacteria are nestled away somewhere in some slush below the surface...
