How much does it normally cost to ship a DVD via USPS?

It weighs 7.4 ounces in a manila envelope.

I heard media mail is cheaper but when I enter the info at USPS.com, it keeps saying "1st class $2.07"... is this correct?

And can I use 5 1st class stamps and drop it in the mail box or do I have to get a special $2.07 stamp at the teller?

Since it is under 13 ounces you can just drop it in the mail. 5 first class stamps provides $2.20 in postage so that would work. Or you can go to the post office and pay the exact $2.07

You can use stamps as long as they total at least the amount required. Using too much is ok if you don't have the exact stamps.
