Okay, I just bought a 5 year old Appendix Horse named Kash. He always gets bored in his stall and has soo much energy should I ride him everyday but give him like 2 days off during the week? Or ride him every other day? Cause he's my new barrel horse; I don't want to make him exhausted.....Help??( i will still give him his grain/oats)
And the reason I'm wondering is cause My old barrel ( retired and now only trail horse) only had energy if I rode him only 2 times in the week. ( even when i gave him grain/oats) So, I felt bad and thought maybe he can only be like a camping horse. It's not that he is lazy he has so much speed for his age but I don't want to ruin that by pushing him, if you know what I mean. and i do still ride him twice a week but not like competing in high speeds only on trail and if he wants to run i let him
So can you help me with Kash? And what i mean by riding him everyday I don't mean by doing barrels with him at the most i would do is like 2 times a week and then just like schooling work. Sorry if this is long tried to cover everything)
