In terms of ballpark prices, GENERALLY speaking, how much would it cost for a shop to swap out a crankset from one bike to another another?

And please no smartass answers, I really want just general opinions of people who get tendered to at Bikeshops to give me a GENERAL quote.

Id ask the bikeshop workers myself, but they have not responded to my emails and I cant swing by due to a cramped schedule. Was wanting a general spec before I take the plunge and hit the shop with my bike.

Thanks a lot in advance!

get a socket or hex key and a crank puller do it your self for 40.00$.
shop charge labour only 30.00 if not a problem. go up depends on problems incountered.

sometimes it can depend on the bike itself but a general rule here is the degree of difficulty involved and time spent doing the job and we generally charge about $30- 50 depending on the bike and what is involved. I work at a shop and we generally charge about 20 bucks per hour to do this one and it takes about 1 hour more and not generally less. The privately owned shop may charge a bit more due to labor expense but it wont take any more time for them to do it then it does for us to do it...we dont use robots either!
