16. I started drivers training when I was 15 I believe, and then got a permit. You have to drive for 6 months with your parents when you have a permit and when you turn 16 you get your drivers license. You can't drive after midnight though until you're 17 unless it's for work.

i haven't yet but my older brother passed at 16 and a month? and he had three or four lessons. and he was learning for about a couple months?

I was 16 years old + 1 month. Back then (1979), they didn't have 6 month rule. So I drove with my father EVERY DAY and took the test.

I actually schedule for a road test - the same hour I pass the written test. :-)

Good Luck...

20 passed test. learnt a bit at 12 then again at 17, then decided to stop mucking about and get serious, booked school of motoring passed first time after about 10 months.

19...well I got in Oct of 2008. I know sad, I took the test 3 times and ALL three times had the same damn woman who I swear had it in for me! I even went to different towns and she was there. I didn't take driver's ed, I couldn't afford it so legally had to wait until I was 18 anyways. What sucks is that every time you fail a road test they add $20 onto the next one. I ended up paying $100. (I got my permit when I was 16 1/2...which was the age her in MA)
