Its a 55 with white gravel and an all black background, 2 marineland 350 biowheels, 2 200 watt heaters, 6500 50/50 lighting with a DIY moonlight. I plan to have a couple american cichlids so I'm pretty sure I can't have any plants, but what about java fern? is it a problem of them eating the plants or digging the subsrate? I've never had live plants before. What kind of rocks should I use for decorating and where can I source them cheaply? Any other ideas or suggestions?
