How to avoid gaining weight while on vacation?

So I'm leaving on Saturday for the shore for a week with my family - and every year we go, there is always delicious fatty foods. We go out to eat a lot, get desserts a lot (because you can really only get them there)...etc...you know how it is. I really am scared to gain weight this year...I think I only gained a pound or two at the most last year, but I really want to watch it this time. We always go for a morning walk (but sometimes I bike or run) for about 2 miles, sometimes more sometimes less, and then I boogie board in the ocean for a few hours. Does anyone have any tips, like foods that would keep my metabolism up? I was thinking that snacking on healthy foods frequently would rev up my metabolism. Thanks :-)
