i like reading alot (fiction mainly) and i want to write a book on my interests.
i have an overactive imagination and alot of opinions and i don't want to be a writer that enforces their views on people. i feel people should come up on their own opinions/views.
plus my grammar isn't to brilliant my vocabulary is fine i think.

so were do i start? if i wanted to be a writer also how does all this publishing stuff work?

I cant really answer the question 'how to be a good writer?' because there is no simple answer. All that i can suggest is that you keep at it, put your all into it and write it for yourself (after all, you are your biggest critic). Keep changing things and building on the story as you go until you end up with what should hopefully be a fantastic story.

I cant stress how important planning my books is to me. I spend anything from 2 months to 9 months just planning my book. I like to have everything mapped out before i start writing and i like to know my characters inside out to eliminate any possible mistakes etc.

All i would say is work hard on it... hard work usually pays off!!
