I don't want it to hurt the first time i.... yeah.

most people recommend I go to a doctor to have it removed, but how does it work? Is it cut away? Burned? (That's what they do in circumsicions) What kind of doctor does it? Is it expensive? I want to tell my parents, but they'd just be cross at me for even thinking about sex at such a young age. (13, turning 14 in early march)

Are there any ways to do it painlessly and safely at home?

You can break your hymen naturally. Depending on how thin or thick your hymen is, you can break it by inserting a tampon, horse back riding, playing sports, fingering or having sex.
