My buddy lives in a trailer home he completely remodeled, now he wants to get his bed off the floor, and he asked me if i would build him a frame. His room is just wide enough to fit 2 queens side by side, but wants them inside a frame with support beams. I found out later that it will cover his floor vent in the room. Im very good with building around things but i don't want his frame to look cheap even though it will be built cheap ($100-$200)

I was thinking about a smaller box with holes drilled in them (2x4's) and build the supporting frame on top of that. Just looking for other ideas unique or simple any guidance is appreciated. Looking forward to buying supplies this weekend. Thank you

Supplies:
Wood Screws
Glue
2x4's (floor frame for vent)
2x6's (side walls for bed frame)
4x4's (Legs)
Corner brackets

does that sound about right?
