How to burn avi files to DVD?

Is there any good programs where you can burn avi and all those sorts of movie files onto a dvd so that they wrok on a dvd player?
 
Some versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7 come with free DVD burning software out of the box. This software is known as Windows DVD Maker.

If you do not the DVD burner on your computer, I would recommend that you try DVD Flick, which is an open-source application designed to do exactly what you want to. You can find it at http://www.dvdflick.net/
