How to bypass activation screen for Tmobile g1?

Hello, i just bought a tmobile g1.... i am currently a cingular user so i got the phone unlocked... after getting the phone unlocked, i tried to register my google account, but it wouldn't work because the server was not working... how do i fix this problem so my phone works??

you cant by pass it, its something you have to do in order for the phone to work, it could just be the server is down
