how to change the clock on the motorola backflip?

i downloaded a cute clock widget but i have no idea how to switch my standard clock to this new cute one? does anyone know? it tells me to hold down the homescreen button and select it but it only leads me to a paragraph of "instructions". help???? thanks so much
