I'll try to take this a little at a time rather than overload you with detail.
I'm getting a plasma tv which I will want to hook to my new blu-ray dvd player. Simple. HDMI cable right? However, I also have a Comcast digital box with DVR and a 5.1 A/V home theater setup.
My simple question - do I run the HDMI cable from the blu-ray to the TV and an optical audio cable from blu-ray to the A/V receiver? (There is no HDMI port on my receiver.)
How do I get the best sound and picture out of the cable box (no HDMI there, either)
