how to connect my satellite Toshiba laptop to LEXMARK printer?

i bought a LEXMARK printer and i need to print something urgent, but nothing came with the printer except the cd and the phone jack. do i need to buy a usb cord?
Micheael, what type of usb cord? or its standard for all printers?
