I want to buy a bike for 'sunday rides' with my daughter in a kiddie trailer attached behind, and do my weekly shopping (putting it in trailer with daughter), etc. at first was just gonna buy cheapest mountain bike i could find on ebay but when i went into bike store to do some research, it was suggested a hybrid would be better. have researched online and this seems to be true. however cannot afford new hybrid and seems to be very few second hands on market in my area and they're quite expensive too.
So question is: can i convert a mountain bike into a hybrid and what equipment would i need to do this and approx how much would it cost (keeping in mind i'm going BUDGET all the way - so cheapest parts i can get).
thanks!!!
