How to convert DVD to WMV?

I have some old DVD videos, I hope I can edit them in my Windows Movie Maker, but it seems that Windows Movie Maker can not accpet the DVD videos, so it is necessary for me to convert DVD to WMV so that I can edit my DVD videos in my Windows movie Maker. However, it is the first time that I have tried to use a related DVD ripping software, I do not know how to convert DVD to WMV. If you are an expert in this filed, please kindly suggest me a good DVD to WMV converter to show me how to convert DVD to WMV. Thanks in advance!
