How to deal with a terrible mother in law?

My MIL is a control freak. She wants to select everything, and control everything I do. Like what dress i wear, when I go out, what type of specs I should have ..I can go on. First and for all I don't spk her language .So we have a communication gap. But my FIL spks English. So she thinks Iike my FIL more than her!! which is ridiculous. What do I do with to improve the relation
 
It sounds like you, your husband and your in-laws need to have a family meeting. There is no need to be impolite, just begin by telling them how you feel. Maybe she doesn't realize she's doing anything wrong or maybe there are traditions in her family that you're not accustomed to. Once she understands (because your FIL and husband will be able to tell her in her own language) maybe she'll back off a bit. If all else fails, she'll be angry with you and won't talk to you anymore anyway, so you won't have to deal with her at all then. Sorry, I know this sucks. Good Luck.
