How to display American flag sticker on a boat- bow or stern?

Should the the port side sticker be on the bow, and starboard side sticker be on the stern, or vice versa? Or both on the bow, or both on the stern? What is the correct way? I don't think the US flag code mentions it, but I want to do it right.

There are left-handed and right-handed flag stickers for sale, so the direction is not a problem.

There really is no correct location or direction for you to post it. As long as it is not upside-down or shown in a disrespectful manner, if it is the only flag you have on the boat then bow or stern, port or starboard doesn't really matter. If it was an actual flag, then the Naval tradition is to fly it from the stern, and the traditional manner of displaying encased colors would be with the stars to the left but if they are "flying" flag stickers stick them on either side on the stern with the flag waving as the wind would be blowing it as you travel.
