How to encode MP3 with surround/SRS? And is it important to encode with surround

for music player to play t...? How to encode MP3 with surround/SRS? And is it important to encode with surround for music player to play them with surround effects? However my music player has the option of SRSWOWHD but I'm new with this and not sure if the MP3 has to be encoded with SRS to play in my music player or they don't need? Which software?
