You know, how you can get free apps for iPhone by just jailbreaking it, i want to know what you have to do in an android running froyo to get free apps.

Also, do i have to root my phone?
Are there any websites I can go to to download the .apk files?
And even after downloading the files, how do I install it?

I'm looking for Pocket God specifically, btw. And I've tried downloading the .apk file from some site and I just put it on my SD card and ran it using Linda File manager but it got stuck on the loading screen. Am I doing something wrong?

Hey come on, you don't need to root your phone just to download games for free??? Why don't you go to the Android market. There you will find games for free and some are trial versions.

Android Market and search for free apps. I don't anything about jailbreaking or rooting it. Go on Youtube and look it up

You can pretty much get a lot of free apps on the Android Market. But, there are other sources where you can download Android apps as well.

1. You don't have to root your phone (only some apps that requires to be able to do certain tasks does)
2. There are tons! You can get apps from tons of different websites.
3. You download it, copy the .apk file into your phone and then from your phone, use a file manager and find the .apk file and install it just like that.

I don't think you did anything wrong. Maybe the one you got is corrupted or something. Try downloading from another website (uninstall the current one first) and then see how it goes. If it still doesn't work, maybe your phone has a problem.
