How to get local channels free if you subscribe to Dish?

I have Dish Network and currently subscribe to the local channels for $5 a month. However, with the recent digital transition, shouldn't I be able to receive the local channels of my digital TV? If so, how do I find the channels. I did a scan on my TV to no avail. Do I need to unplug the receiver? Thanks
 
yea just buy a crap intena and it should work good enough
 
but an antenna and connect it to the antenna port on the back of the receiver -you should beable to scan thru the dishnetwork reciver to have off air where it assigned your off air channels on top of your dish tv guide
