How to get my book published? and which is better 1st or 3rd person?

I'm in the middle of writing a book..and before I am actually done with it I would like to know how to get it published (:

Also, which is better 1st or 3rd person point of view. Thank you for everything

look up as many publishers you can in your country and send the first chapter to all of them. as manyb as possible. hopefully, one'll pick it up and like the idea. also, i think you have to send a summary of what the plot is actually about and how it ends, blah, blah, blah.
and for the latter question, it's a bit late to be asking that now, isn't it, if you're already halfway through...

in my opinion, though, third person is better. first person gives too narrow a view and it's inevitable that the reader gets sick of the person you're writing about. gets sick of their thought, their actions, their whining and whinging, etc.
