I've been using costic soda to get rid of this tar like substance from my wooden floorboards - it's a tiring task though and takes ages to come off and expensive i've used lots of tins of the ostic soda and its expensive. Is there a cheaper alternative to remove this unwanted tar/glue? My gues is that tiles have been down and this is the glue that was used and its a nightmare to remove.

Thanks for answering.

Back when I used to shoot up, i made sure i never dropped any on my wooden floors while it was cooking in a spoon. I got one of those wall scrapers like for gum and scraped it off the floor and it worked and dont worry its reusabke once it gets heated up

Heavy duty sander! May gum up though due to heat from friction on tar/glue
