Okay so I am currently pet sitting for a friend and so far it has been okay. I'm sitting for an 8 pound Yorkie whom is 6 years old. My dog is an Australian Shepherd/Husky mix. She's about 50 pounds right now (7 months). As she is a puppy, she gets very hyper and over excited. I brought him (Yorkie) in my room and she kept whining, and whining til I switched him into my brothers room. I think it's because that is her territory. She sleeps in my room every night and all her toys are in there.
Um, I'm taking care of this dog for a month so I'd like them to be comfortable with each other. I tried to introduce them but she just wanted to play, play and play and that apparently scared him since as a result he growled and nipped at her. So I separated them and let both of them calm down.
Anyways, my ultimate question obviously is how can I get them to learn to be comfortable around each other? If anyone can help, thank you so much!
