How to Import DivX Codec into Windows Movie Maker (WMM)?

How do I import the DivX Codec, into Windows Movie Maker (WMM) and/or how do I get the DivX compatibility box into WMM filters, so that I can import and view/edit DivX videos in WMM? When I installed Xvid, it automatically imported into WMM’s filters (under Tools->Options->Compatibility) and I was able to import Xvid videos into WMM and view/edit the Xvid videos in WMM, but for some reason after installing the DivX Codec, it did not import into WMM’s filters and I am not able to import DivX videos into WMM. I know that it is possible to import, view, and edit DivX videos in WMM because I have edited a DivX video in WMM on another computer. I tried to find the compatibility box for the DivX codec in the list of filters under the Compatibility tab of the Tools->Options in WMM but it is not there. I also tried closing and reopening WMM, and reinstalling the DivX codec but that did not work. Any Suggestions?
Please no video/codec converters. I do not want to convert the video format.
