How to learn a dance from a slowed down dvd?

Me and 2 friends want to learn some of the dance routines from Michael Jackson's music videos. There are 2 instructional dvds on the market, but one only teaches you individual moves like the moonwalk, not full routines, and the other only teaches the dance to thriller. So we ere thinking of maybe watching his music videos in slow motion and trying to learn from that. Do you think this would work? Can anyone give us any tips?
we can't do it with youtube as we don't have the internet in the dance hall. What is mirroring?
 
It will work, a lot of dancers do that.

i suggest you to mirror the video, that way it will be easier to copy the moves because you won't need to think about your right or you left but just do like if the video was your reflexion in the mirror.

you can do that with any video editor.

Didn't you think of searching for tutorials on youtube? It will be even more easy to learn the choregraphy with that here's a link to the thriller dance tutorial and you just have to search for the other videos:
