How to make a good airline livery?

My airline is called SkyJett and I wanted a good clean modern livery.. How do i make one? and if i wanted pieces of the aircraft to be in front of the paint (windows, door, nails etc.) How do i get it where the paint isnt just sitting on top.. im using photoshop CS5.1
