I'm not sure if this is even possible, but I have an old TV that only has a cable (I think it's call coaxial) and the blue-red-white inputs. My Blue Ray only has a HDMI cord. I do have a Directv box, but that doesn't have an HDMI port, it only has a USB port and the other ports my TV has. Is there anyway without buying something expensive to be able to hook up my blue ray player? I want to be able to watch Netflix and Hulu on my TV, that's the only reason I bought it, so any solution that won't allow that will not help. If there is no way, please tell me that too.

You use the composite A/V from the Blu-Ray player to the TV. It should have that.

Won't happen. The old TV has analog inputs. The Blu-ray and Direct TV has digital outputs. There may be some converter for digital to analog but it will not be cheap. Probably less expensive to buy a new flat screen TV with the inputs you need.
