how to reconfigure a cellphone from telus after switching to a new number?

Hi

I have a samsung omnia that is connected to telus

I recently went on to my account and changed the phone number on the telus website. however after making the change I went onto the phone page on the omnia and noticed that it was still on the old number even though on my account it shows the new number. I was wondering how I can reconfigure the omnia to the new number.
