How to reduce the brightness level on a laptop that doesn't have any side buttons...

...for it? I have a Dell Inspiron E1505, it's about 4 years old which might explain why it doesn't come with any buttons for brightness and contrast levels. I've been on Properties and Control Panel. Maybe I'm missing something but I can't figure out how to reduce the brightness level.
