How to replace an engine on a car?

I saw a nice looking car on ebay, and it was $450. I thought it was too good to be true but then the add said not running, because the driver blew a piston. The car is a 5-speed stick. How do I replace the engine? (The ad said it needs a new engine) Would it be better for me to buy a different car? How expensive is it to get a new engine? The car is a honda prelude. I think it would be good for me to try and get a new engine in it because I like the car and like tweaking things and seeing how they work. Any suggestions? thanks for the help.
