How to save pics from the Internet directly to iPod touch?

When using safari on my iPod touch can I save pics directly to my iPod? If so how?
 
Go to a photo sharing website (google) then search image and find it. Then hold down your finger on the picture you want to save for about 5 seconds or so.
 
Follow xpistonsx1's advice to save pictures directly from the internet.

Lucas' advice is to take a screenshot of you iPhone screen.
 
Hold your finger down on the picture you want to save, then you will be given the option to save image.
 
ya you can you have to hit the top button(the one that shuts it off) and the bottom botton (the one that return to the menu) at the same time and there should be a slight flash and the page will be in your pictures.
