How would a No Cussing Club be greeted in your school?

Most likely, it would be greeted with a hearty "**** you". Given the level of profanity used at my school, I doubt that such a club would stand much of a chance of succeeding. I agree that there are often better ways to express oneself than profanity, but I also strongly support freedom of speech. I am an anti-censorship advocate.

I think it's kinda silly...they are just words. It's when people make big deals about them that makes it worse.

People DO have toilet mouths, don't they? I have found that the worse a person's mouth is, in general that person tends to be quite a lot meaner and crabbier and more selfish than others.

And maybe a bit less intelligent. They can't seem to find other words.

I don't attend school anymore, but I am all for the elimination of bad language. I really believe that it is a sign of a limited vocabulary. Having said that, I will admit that i do occasionally cut loose with a hearty "Oh, shit (excrement)," usually when my system locks up or when my back goes out. We are none of us perfect.
