the UFC)? I'm 18,live in Miami, FL and have no prior experience to mma except for some high school wrestling when I was a high school senior(but then again that's how Rampage Jackson started), I'm going to start college in a week and am planning on gaining a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, and there's a conveniantly placed MMA gym across the street from the university I go to(I don't know if it's any good, it's called the Freestyle Fighting Academy Mixed Martial Arts. I want to train in martial arts but at the same time not sacrifice my full time student studies. So how would I go about doing this? Should I leave training to the summer/vacation time or should I do school and training at the same time? What experience do I need/how do I get a manager for amateur/professional fighting? How much would MMA gyms cost me? I'm in fairly good shape(slim and muscular), good reflexes, but more importantly an indomitable will, and I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to achieve my goal of becoming the best fighter in the world. Thank you in advance for your help.
@Traum whoa whoa whoa, sounds like I hit a nerve...P***y kids? Wow, you feeling the need to act tough on the internet instantly let me know your just a trash talking, all talk no walk punk that's got waaay to much time on his hands. And I'm curious to know as to how "I'm acting like a know-it-all?" I mean, all I did was ASK Questions, I never said I KNEW anything, even less KNOW IT ALL. Seriously KID, why don't grow up and act like an adult when responding to other people who've only asked a question with respect. Didn't your moma teach you about a little thing called MANNERS?
But then again I guess that's a good thing. Smack talking greaseballs like you only affect me in one way...yeah that's right all you're doing is pissing me off at motivating even more. Yap all you like punk cause I ain't gonna be the one lying on the floor with a mouthful of garbage.
And to everyone else, thanks for you advice. I know the chances of entering the UFC are seldom to none but I'm just looking at things from a perspective where I'm taking it all one step at a time. I'm not gonna about becoming a UFC fighter when I'm only learning the ropes. I'll be thinking about learning the technique and improving myself, and then competing at an ameteur level once or if it gets to that level. Then when I finally have a taste of what it takes to be what I want to be, I'll decide on the next step. I can't do it all at once, and I recognize that, it just doesn't work like that, it would be chaotic. Rather, I'm going to take things 1 step at a time and focus my mind on the task at hand, not what isn't going on at the moment.
