we know so little about it... but we do know that it claims Mary Magdalene was Jesus most important disciple instead of Peter, (not his lover as some popular fiction suggests).
how do you think if the book was included in the new testament and the first pope was a woman instead of a man?

There is no real "Gospel of Mary".There is no reason to believe that she was educated out of illiteracy.
