Wisconsin to Chicago? My grandfather lives way up north in Ashland, WI and has lived there for years without ever really leaving town. His granddaughter is getting married in Chicago. We are trying to find a way to get him to his granddaughter's wedding without having to drive up there ourselves and drive him back down (which he would not like because he is not used to long car trips).
He does not drive. He lives alone.
Any advice?
Perhaps I was unclear.
He lives in a rural town. There are no nearby airports. He would either have to take a cab down to the Twin Cities (MN) -- and I'm not even sure that there are cabs in the area -- or someone would need to go get him.
I am looking for information from anyone who has experience with travel with elderly persons or who is familiar with the bus routes in Wisconsin. I am hoping that there might be an option that I am overlooking.
