HTC Evo 3D or Motorola Photon 4G?

I asked my mom to get an Evo 3d as a new phone. The sprint rep really seemed against selling it citing the many returns that they handled at that particular store. She than offered the original Evo or the Motorola Photon 4G. I've read many reviews about the Evo 3d and I've seen nothing less than stellar reviews minus the fact that that 3d feature is gimmicky. I'm a bit suspicious about her offer. The Photon 4G is more expensive than the Evo 3d. (Maybe she wants a better commission?)
I have to go back to the sprint store in two days.
Should I continue to fight for the Evo 3d or should I just accept the Motorola Photon 4G?
 
If you can get the Evo 3D for less and are more of a regular/casual smartphone user, then I'd probably get it over the Photon. But if you happen to do a lot of traveling and are in a business that has hefty demands you tackle via your phone, then the Photon is probably the better bet. How much the 3D matters to you might weigh into your decision as well. I'm a bit indifferent towards the 3D feature (it's a gimmick, yeah, but being able to use it yourself as opposed to just seeing it in movies is a nice touch that can open some potential for amateur filmmakers).

Either way, I think you'll be content since the differences seem to be relatively minor.
