Hurtful remarks in family about our Religion....?

I would tell them that if they aren't going to treat me with the respect given a guest, I will not be a guest in their home. If you aren't in their home preaching at them but you're getting a ration of crap, they're the ones that need an attitude adjustment. If you are preaching, you should consider your position as a guest. I'm not saying you are, or aren't, just giving my opinion and what I would do.

A member of our family ridicules our belief in God. In order not to argue, we must keep our thoughts to ourself and our mouths shut.

Would it be better if we ceased getting together with this person rather than listen to the demeaning remarks...

or

Is being in their home and mantaining our composure a good testimony of our faith?

What would you do?

I would sit down with this person and tell them in a calm way that you respect their beliefs, but you beleive in God and it wont change, adn you'd appreciate that he respect your beliefs since you respect his. No one has to suffer for their beliefs, It isn't right.
