...should I work? I like almost everything that might be socially awkward to bring up with normal mainstream people who you would encounter in a workplace. I want to find a place to work with others who are also dorky. I currently work at a large reputable institution and hate it. Yea its great to know I could prob be employed for several years here but its like pulling teeth I don't have a damn thing in common with anyone there yet other than school(I am not super school spirited but I can put on a pretend face). My favorite job so far has been at a movie theater because I was surrounded by awesome people who shared all the same interests I did, unfortunately the pay was low as possible and would be impossible to live on. I don't care if I get paid low I just want enough to live in a single apartment and enjoy the work and the company of my coworkers. I would almost prefer doing some kind of work that requires no human interaction(or very little) over interacting with others that share none of the interests I do. I am a social butterfly when around others who are like me but it has been forever since I have been in said environment, and I long for it. I am so tired of being around other drone workers, I will not bring up my hobbies at work because they are so nerdy I am 100% sure I would be shunned with these people. I would also like to be around younger people as I am young, hence my eagerness to get out of this industry before I am locked into something I could care less about. I only took this position because I have things to pay for. As far as everyone there is concerned I am funny and a good guy I am sure. It is boring to interact I am putting on a show, conservative jokes suck and I hate playful colleague banter where we crack horrible jokes that are office friendly. I would love to work in a comic book shop or game-stop until my end but I don't want to get paid complete shite, I will take pretty low shite pay but not complete shite pay.

I can be very business professional when I want to be(one of my many masks) but I don't like it and I don't like (networking) or as I like to call it BSing strangers. I just want to remain childlike and play games all day and watch cartoons and movies and then get money deposited into my account that is sufficient to live off of in a small one room apartment with a good internet connection.

No I don't type like this in my emails at work as I am in character there and my character is very concise and to the point in emails with no errors in spelling or grammar and with no run on sentences or emotion.

I am not a loner I have a girl and do things with my family all the time.

Any suggestions would be appreciated I need to go to bed now so I can get up so I can punch myself in the face tomorrow at work.

Also I am a Marketing Major.
 
Let's be honest, in the current economic climate, you should just get a job wherever you can. We have suffered a recession and if you look at any financial news, you'll know that we are on the verge on another global recession.
 
You sort of answered your own question. Gamestop, Best Buy... Look around and see what comic and gaming places are hiring. You might also want to check with the major developers and anime distributors.
 
Go with the jobs your level of education/qualification allows, not the hobby.
 
maybe you could be a person who reviews anime's or something. youtube is probably the best thing for you look at people like shane dawson and kandee johnson their rich just find an intrest which you'd like to share with people like i said you could talk about anime's or something like that can you draw manga? i think his name is mike crilley or something like that he makes money by giving out tutorials on how to draw ETC.
