Could it be muscle weight? For the past two weeks, I have been doing a combination of strength training, and light cardio. I have also followed a low calorie diet, but high in fiber and protein. Yet, today I weighed myself and have gained 2 lbs. Could this be muscle gain form the strength training?

Do you eat any kind of veggies ???, Protein is awesome, but the body takes longer to digest it and If you eat it in excess it could become your metabolism slower... Anyways, do not worry about your weight, check your size : ) ... I gained a lot of weight the last year, and some of my old pants does not fit anymore : ( ... so now I am eating healthier and doing exercise XD.... I eat a lot of veggies at lunch and dinner and combine with a small portion of meat (((specially chicken and fish)))... I have tried my old pants and they do not fit the best yet, but I see the difference Yeahhh !!!

The high protein diet with strength training is certainly going to contribute muscular weight gain. The low calorie side, along with cardio will offset that, but since you say "light" cardio, you are probably still going to gain weight until your body becomes accustomed to your new routine. The added muscle will increase your metabolism so you'll burn more calories and you may see yourself losing fat soon.
But in short, yes, your added weight is almost certainly muscle, unless there's something going on that I missed.
Congratulations on the life-style change by the way! Keep at it!. I promise you won't regret it.
