I'm an ENT.
Left VC paralysis is a serious condition caused by problems as varied as a viral infection of the recurrent laryngeal nerve (most common), lung cancer ("Pancoast"), Schwannoma tumor of the vagus nerve, and enlargement of the heart.

This is no time for messing about with whimsical foolishness or pyramid power.
Get your ass back to the ENT physician (who is almost certainly where you learnt your diagnosis) for proper evaluation and treatment...

PS. When diagnosed, viral damage recovers very slowly. We routinely tell folks to expect improvement only after 3-6 months.
Ask your ENT if he'd be willing to inject some temporary bulking-up into the left cord to help you keep your career if necessary.
