I believe gossip is POISON. I call it VERBAL VOMIT. It harms everyone in it's path?

Gossip needn't be all lies, made-up stories and/or malicious.

Gossip could be idle chatter about this and that among friends. It could also serve as a warning about things to come. Like they say 'there's no smoke without fire'...it could actually help you take pre-empting measures.

Gossip in close-knit societies is a given. It has known to save lives, help nab offenders, sieze opportunities and in even match-making!

It is just another way of spreading news, however trivial or useless. It depends entirely on YOU what you do with it. Trash it, quash it there and then if its malicious....

I agree. It can seriously ruin ur reputation. I've gone through all of middle school in the background with so many people hurting me. I finally just ignored it, because if u know it's not true... That's all that matters.

I believe 1000% with your assessment of gossip. Have you ever played the game gossip as a child. YOu get a number of people and one person whispers in the ear of one person and that person passes the statement to the next and so on? By the time the last person says out loud what was supposedly said, the statement has very little of the original intent from the original statement. This is truly gossip.

Tht quote is NOT true, it ca seariously hurt people, sometimes lead to suicide which is like one of the worst things to die from; being bullied to deat

Agree we are given 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason....trouble is many don't engage their brain before engaging their mouth
