...would be to activate it? so i want to know how much it would be to activate it at verizon and if they had any text only plans. i dont really call anyone unless its an emergency and id like the data too anyone know the pricing for all this?
so id have to have a voice plan even though i dont want one?
 
Assuming the ESN is clean, Verizon would require a voice plan and a data plan. Minimum voice is $40/month. There's only one data plan and it's $30/month and it's MANDATORY. Texting is optional and extra. "Unlimited" which is actually unlimited in-network and 5000 out of network is $20/month.

Your minimum plan cost would be $70/month plus fees and taxes. With texting, it's $90/month.

Since you have a phone, you would not want sign a contract. You want month to month service.
 
To activate your bb Just with a used phone you do not have to agree to a 1 or 2 year contract but you still need a data and talk plans
