I bought the DVD of left 4 dead 2 and when i start there's a pop up stating...

...that "steam is not initiated"help? i dont want to play online! is there anyway i can play offline without having to go to the steam website just like other games! play with bot settings or any command or is there a way to configure the steam without having to go to the website? thanks
