I brought a used nokia 6280,everything's working fine however,it doesn't...

You'll probably need to get a new card for the phone; many phones have their own formatting scheme, depending on the operating system in use on the phone. It may also be a question of things like file extensions that are compatible with one operating system but not the other.

If you have material that you want to transfer from an old card to a new one in a phone, I'd suggest getting a simple card reader that plugs into a USB port on your computer. You can read the material off the old card, then transfer it to the new card AFTER the new card has been formatted in the new phone (if necessary).

You can get a simple card reader for about $20; I got mine at a pharmacy, of all things!

...recognise my memory card, its 1gb,HELP? I heard that Sandisk is very good and should use that. i don't want to buy it and find that it still does not work. i recently just took the card out and back in not expecting anything and realised that my phone did acknowledge that the card was in for approx. 3-4 mins.the phone's internal memory is not very good and reli need the external memory. please help would really appreciate it. thanks
Thank you Chicken Little for the prompt answer.I do not have any files that i need to transfer from the card and as a result do not need that device recommended. i have recently purchased a new Sandisk 1GB card. do you think that this may now work in my phone??
Also, sorry forgot to mention my phone was originally on 3G, i then had it unlocked to all networks. Not sure if this affects anything but just thought will let you know. thanks
