Before, I was very into getting the Palm Pre because of its capabilities and it's sleek, roundish design. However, when I realized it was going to be serviced by not only Sprint, but by Bell (Canadian phone company), and the phone is a CDMA, which by all means I cannot use unless I use their service which I am not willing to go for. Since I'm on a contract with a GSM service provider and I very much prefer a GSM phone. The Palm Pre GSM version, unlocked, will be released on a later date, perhaps in the late Q4 of 2009 or even next year. No one knows exactly. However, I cannot wait for something like this.
As I was browsing for alternatives, I found myself reading into the Samsung Omnia 2 i8000, one of the major flagships of the Samsung, and a leading competitor of the latest phones out there. It doesn't look as though it will help schedule and organize your life or day to day business, such as having "Next Appointment" on the main display, neither does the Palm, but I have not seen any reviews based on its organizing abilities, and it is not titled as a business phone.
Sure, you might recommend a blackberry. I've used one for 5 months for work, I found it inconvenient to use for scheduling as inputting data was annoying on a plain and bleak looking screen with too much technicality. I'm a visual person, and I would like to side with phones that offer visual interesting interfaces.
I'm currently torn apart. But the answer is simple? Though, if I get the Samsung, I will feel as though I've betrayed Palm. LOL...
Someone reassure me on which is better???
